Supporting your child back into learning
We understand that reaching the point where alternative or additional provision is needed can feel overwhelming. Whether your child is struggling to attend school, has unmet SEND needs, or requires a different approach to re‑engage with education, our role is to support your child and you as a parent every step of the way.
At The Catch Up Academy, we work alongside families and local authorities to help children rebuild confidence, re‑engage with learning, and make meaningful progress towards their next educational step.

What you can expect for your child
Your child can expect:
Our aim is to help your child feel safe, understood, and ready to learn again.
What this looks like in practice
Parents often tell us that clarity and communication are what matter most. This is how our support works:
Inital Understanding
We take time to understand your child’s needs, strengths, anxieties, and what helps them engage. This includes reviewing reports, EHCP outcomes (where applicable), and speaking with professionals already involved.
Careful Tutor Matching
Your child is matched with a specialist tutor experienced in supporting similar needs, whether that is SEND, SEMH, anxiety, school refusal, or learning gaps.
Tailored Tuition Sessions
Sessions are planned around your child’s pace and capacity. This may include short, structured learning blocks, movement breaks, practical learning, or creative approaches depending on what works best for them.
Ongoing Review & Adjustment
We regularly review progress and adapt the approach as your child’s confidence and engagement grows.

✔ All tutors are carefully vetted and experienced in working with
vulnerable learners

Our priority is ensuring your child feels safe, supported, and able to suceed.
